I think it is good to see some fresh ideas and some of the cars certainly needed updating, although it is a shame to have lost so many great cars meaning Forza Motorsport 7 is much better for variety and number of vehicles for you to drive! Gran Turismo is adding cars in updated entirely free however Forza are doing the same preventing Gran Turismo from catching them up! Although there was less hype around this game I had heard how much had changed since previous Gran Turismo games and there were mixed feelings about this. I got hold of a copy of Gran Turismo Sport a couple of months after Forza Motorsport 7 as I only had an Xbox One and not a Playstation 4 beforehand. Yes the way the game looks is slightly different, there are new single player races and there are a few more cars but fundamentally the game has not changed at all. My main problem with this game is that as far as I can tell they have just copied and pasted Forza Motorsport 6 onto a new disc. There was a lot of hype around this new game, more than there was for Gran Turismo Sport but I have to say after playing the game several times I was a little disappointed by it. Now I got Forza Motorsport 7 as soon as it released having preordered the game after its exciting launch alongside the new Porsche GT2RS ( which is now a Nurburgring lap record holder).

With 2017 bringing us new titles from both series the rivalry between fans of each franchise is greater than ever, but from the viewpoint of somebody who has a lot of love for both series, which game is actually best?
