During all this time, several other customers had come, eaten and left and we felt we had lost precious time which we could have spent walking around the gardens. With some token apology the café staff managed to bring our order after a further 15-20 minutes of wait. After about an hour of waiting I approached the order counter to ask why it was taking so long to serve our food, and I was unhappily surprised to find that our order was not passed on to the kitchen. She passed by our table a few times and joked about the buzzer being too loud, but we waited and waited for the buzzer to ring. We were met with a smiling and jovial staff member who took our order and brought our dinks to the table in no time. It is there that our pleasure suffered a setback, at least temporarily.

Then we decided to have a few bites to eat at the café. We loved the amethyst and other crystal laden exhibits, the familiar Buddhist and Hindu statues and the lovely gardens and purchased a few items of presents at one of the gift shops. The much heard about Crystal Castle was on our list of places to visit, so we booked our tickets on-line and enjoyed the scenic drive to Crystal Castle.
